prasmanan
Appearance
Indonesian
[edit]Etymology
[edit](Can this(+) etymology be sourced?) Possibly borrowed via Betawi, analysed as *prasman + -an. The reconstructed lexeme *prasman is, in turn, possibly a borrowing from Dutch Fransman (“Frenchman”). Alluding to service à la française, from which the buffet is derived.
Pronunciation
[edit]Noun
[edit]prasmanan (plural prasmanan-prasmanan)
