Yeah, GitHub's language stats can get thrown off by generated files like Allure reports. I had the same issue with Jupyter notebooks once—it took a .gitattributes tweak to fix it Low-Fume Xtreme Lash Adhesive. Tagging the right folders as linguist-generated helped the language breakdown reflect actual code. |

From what I was just reading it sounds like I should create a .gitattributes file directly under my top/root level of the project and within it I should "exclude" the folder that is causing the issue. In my case I would want to exclude the "AllureReport" folder since that is the one that creates tons of html files for the reporting. I'm just not positive of the syntax as the docs aren't really clear on that. I'm thinking it should be: Does this sound right? |

Thanks, I'm trying that syntax now. Wow, thought I'd have to wait the 15 hours that everyone stated but It was instant for me. Rather interesting that it was so quick but I did check last night and the stat hadn't updated (and I hadn't created the .gitattributes file yet). |

It could also be picking up files elsewhere that you are overlooking. It bases it off the majority of files it sees. In my case Allure Reports generates a ton of html files thus throwing my file type percentage off. Try the fix from davevad93 from above as it worked for me. |

How do you get the Languages section of the main page of my repository to update correctly? My repo is mainly python code, however I implemented Allure Reports (also tried out pytest-html) and I think the Allure Reports is what skewed the stats because Allure Reports creates a ton of html files. I deleted them assuming that was the issue but the languages stat won't update. I want it to reflect python since that is what I'm showing with the repo. I found a previous "Bug" on this (#54854) but I don't believe it really applies as it mentioned adding a line to ".github/fsharp-custom-action/** -linguist-vendored" (not even sure where I'd add that and my code is python not F#). Originally I clicked into the "HTML %" and it said it had to reindex the code but it has never updated in days.
