it seems to be related with the use of :func: which doesn't seem to be allowed in Pypi long description.

It should be fixed and release procedure should be also updated (to remember to verify long description file).

Maybe I should remove Github tag with 2.9.0 version.

Maybe tagging Github release should only be done after publishing to Pypi.
