Brugia seu Bruga Walteri (vulgo Bridgwater) est urbs in Somersetensi comitatu Angliae, ad ripam fluminis Pedredi iacens, 10 km a manica Bristoliensi distans, ubi nundinae et mercatus tenebantur ab anno circiter 1200.[1] Homines fere 41 000 ibi his diebus habitant.

Ecclesia S. Mariae saeculo XIV magna parte exstructa est, spira anno 1367 ab architecto Nicolao Waleys surrecta.[2]
