Par basium (Anglice bp) in genetica est unitas fundamentalis acidorum nucleicorum duorum, nexorum ope duarum pontium hydrogenii[1]. Pares basium greges fundamentalis helicis duplicis ADN constituunt. Intra ADN connectuntur nucleobases adeninum A cum thymino T (ope pontium duarum) et guaninum G cum cytosino C (ope potium trium). Pares A-T et G-C nominantur etiam pares Watson et Crick (etiam pares Watson et Crick et Franklin), secundum inventores structurae ADN.
