Perineum^[1] sive perineon^[2] sive perinaeon^[2] sive perinaeum^[3] (e verbo Graeco περίνεον/περίναιον^[2], quod Latine "agger" sonat) est regio corporis inter anum et membra exteriora gignendi, id est in viro inter anum et scrotum et in muliere inter anum et commissuram posteriorem labiorum maiorum pudendi.

Inter partum propter magnam dilatationem vaginae interdum perineum se dirumpit.
