Romanus Melodus (Graece Ῥωμανὸς ὁ Μελωδός; natus Emesae die ignoto; mortuus circa annum 555) fuit unus ex maximis poetis religiosis Byzantinis, "Pindarus poeticae numerorum" appellatus. Ecclesia Catholica Romana eum sanctum habet, cuius festum die 1 Octobris celebrat.
