Danube Day Edit-a-thon 2020
June 29 - July 6, 2020

On the occasion of the Danube Day, June 29, Wikimedia Serbia is organizing an online edit-a-thon which will gather chapters and communities that are active in countries through which the Danube river flows. Wikipedia volunteers in these countries will write and improve articles on everything related to the Danube - fishing, shipbuilding, animals, birds, islands, cities, bridges, various fortresses and historical and geographical places such as national parks.

The goal is to increase free content on various topics and also collaboration between communities. Each community is invited to create a list of needed and suggested articles for writing or improving. The event will be online considering the current circumstances and it will last for a whole week (June 29 - July 6). We invite you to join this project and celebrate one of Europe's greatest river systems, along with its people and the wildlife that rely on it. Each participant will get a barnstar.
