The U.S. Department of Defense Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation’s programs of assistance are designed to specifically address the challenges states and communities face as they support the defense mission. Our programs include: 

Community Noise Mitigation Program

The Community Noise Mitigation Program is designed to address communities impacted by military fixed wing aviation noise for the purposes of installing noise mitigation at covered facilities.

Defense Community Infrastructure Program

The Defense Community Infrastructure Program is designed to address deficiencies in community infrastructure, supportive of a military installation, in order to enhance military value, installation resilience, and military family quality of life.

Defense Manufacturing Community Support Program

The Defense Manufacturing Community Support Program (DMCSP) is designed to support long-term community investments that strengthen national security innovation and expand the capabilities of the defense manufacturing industrial ecosystem.

Installation Resilience

The Installation Resilience program of assistance is designed to provide technical and financial assistance to states and local governments to analyze and implement actions necessary to foster, protect, and enhance installation resilience. 

Mission Realignment

The Mission Realignment program of assistance enables state and local governments to anticipate and respond to reductions or growth due to changes in DoD force structure.

Public Schools on Military Installations

Public Schools on Military Installations program activities are designed to ensure that the children of service members are taught in environments that are safe, secure, conducive to learning, and are aligned with the local standard for other schools within that region.

Stakeholder Engagement

The Stakeholder Engagement office leverages, integrates, and amplifies the goals and activities of all program activities to ensure defense priorities benefit from the synergy created by a diverse and crosscutting set of stakeholders.
