Lippe (river)

The Lippe in Lünen

The Lippe is a river in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a right tributary of the Rhine. The river has 220.3 km (136.9 mi) long. Its source is in the Teutoburg Forest in Bad Lippspringe. It flows west through Paderborn and Lippstadt, along the northern edge of the Ruhr Area. The river enters the Rhine at Wesel.
