"The Power of Love" is a song written and recorded by American singer-songwriter Jennifer Rush in 1984.[1] It was later covered by Laura Branigan, Air Supply and Celine Dion.

Rush's version hit #1 in the United Kingdom. However, it only peaked at #57 in the United States.

Dion's version hit #1 in the United States, Canada and Australia in 1994. The song then became a pop standard. It won an ASCAP Pop Award for Most Performed Song in the United States.[2]
