UNESCO Global Geoparks

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

UNESCO Global Geoparks (UGGp) are places and landscapes with interesting, unusual geology. They are certified by the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council. They have to meet a set of criteria. The GGN is a network of geoparks. It is also an agency of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) which administers the network.[1][2]
