Great-greatgrandson of James Sowerby, great-grandson of James de Carle Sowerby, great-grandnephew of George Brettingham Sowerby I and Charles Edward Sowerby, grandnephew of James Sowerby, cousin twice removed of George Brettingham Sowerby II and John Edward Sowerby, 2nd cousin once removed of George Brettingham Sowerby III.
