Rusët janë popull i grupit të sllavëve të lindjes me 145 milionë popullsi jetojnë kryesisht në Rusi, ku bëjnë pjesë me rreth 80 % të popullsisë.

Rusët janë populli më i madh sllav pastaj vijnë Ukrainasit dhe Polakët ata janë gjithashtu edhe kombi më i madh në Evropë.
