It is a far paddle out..and right on the U.S, Mexico borderline and patrolled by homeland security, navy seals and coast guard. but it is a great ride with rights and lefts all the way to shore. usually around 6 or 7 at night which kinda gets scary with sharks, and also you will puke every time from the sewage spilling out from the tijuana waste water plant right on the border
I.B boulevard all the way down make a left and go all the way to the end get out grab your board and walk almost to mexico...lots of rips so pay attention to entry then swim about 15 minutes out..enjoy the sunset talk to the local girls and then catch your ride!
you will probably want to stay in downtown or chula vista, unless you know someone...it's definitely a locals only town..
There is parking right along seacoast drive youll be fine.
Surf Hut, and some other ride shops but you better get to those before 3pm cause they shut down to go surf
if you do not know how to surf you may want to go to O.B or futher north because you will have to throw blows with a local to earn his respect enough to give you a wave let alone teach you to ride it..just stay in the white water at the south pier if you cant ride
when its flat and it often is...I would go to Ocean Beach..its fun good bars..good music at Winstons and lots of shops Grass and if you indulge then enjoy!
