- Motive for request: I want to see if there's a way that I can get some HTML5 working (either through an extension or other) for the project funded by WMF without butchering some en:WP pages. Also, I'm interested in some bot experimentation. Finally, though I realize there are three major sites indicated on this site AND I can simply install my own edition of MW, I do sort of want to see if it would be beneficial for me to have admin tools or if they're unneeded on en:WP.
- Requested rights: sysop
- Comments: Reviewer, rollbacker, EP instructor (relevant due to nature of research on aspects of editing with sysop permissions) on en:WP. Work intended to contribute to ER and en:WP:VIDTUT. Will request access revocation if unneeded, as I did in the case of my AC right on en:WP. Currently on WMF Labs with shell access, too. --Jackson Peebles (talk) 07:40, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- Seems legit, but why exactly does your testing require you to have admin rights? This, that and the other (talk) 09:32, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
- "I do sort of want to see if it would be beneficial for me to have admin tools or if they're unneeded on en:W" -> this wiki is not to test out admin tools, per WP:NOT; the other things mentioned do not appear to me to need sysop access. As such, I am marking this request as Not done. Snowolf How can I help? 10:12, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
