Ladybird Books continuity
While traveling to the site of a previous battle to search for cybernite, a group of Autobots spotted the aurora borealis and momentarily thought they were under attack from Decepticons. Spike Witwicky explained what the mysterious lights were and how they interfered with radio signals. When the Autobots discovered that the Decepticons had built three invisible space stations in orbit to spy on them, Kup recalled Spike's information about the northern lights, which gave him an idea for a plan. This involved Huffer and Wheeljack constructing a transmitter that fired a megavolt charge of electricity into the sky, triggering a display of aurora borealis and interfering with Decepticon communications. Hound was then able to send erroneous messages while posing as Soundwave, resulting in the three stations crashing into each other. Galvatron's Air Attack
