IDW movie comics
As part of Strike Team Ursa, Dirt Boss (alongside Brakedown and Reverb) was dispatched to Wendover, Utah by Soundwave to investigate the mysterious organization that had resurrected Ravage. They discovered a hidden base beneath a garbage dump, but fled after they accidentally activated its self-destruct mechanism. While fleeing, they were intercepted by the Autobots Ironhide and Sideswipe, who promptly destroyed both of Dirt Boss' teammates. Dirt Boss pretended to surrender, buying him a few moments until Soundwave and Ravage swooped in and attacked the Autobots. Although Soundwave was soon captured, Dirt Boss made a clean getaway. Nefarious #2
He later joined Rumble, Ratbat, Buzzsaw, and Beastbox in attempting to rescue the captured Soundwave from a Bumblebee-led Autobot convoy in New Mexico. Dirt Boss battled Dune Runner until Bumblebee, seeing his team being overwhelmed, fled, allowing the Decepticons to recover Soundwave. Nefarious #3 Soundwave tracked Ravage to the Initiative base in eastern California. Dirt Boss was dismissive of their human opponents and, announcing he was going to show them who was boss, charged straight in. He was taken out by the base's outer perimeter defenses. Nefarious #4
