Transformers/Back to the Future
One fateful night in 1985, Doc Brown had his young friend Marty McFly conduct the inaugural drive of a newly-invented time-traveling DeLorean. After Marty successfully returned from 1955 (during which Marty informed the younger Doc to survive gunshots from Libyan terrorists in 1985), Doc decided to undertake his own temporal journey to 2015. Unfortunately, the hostile alien Rumble stowed away with Doc. Transformers/Back to the Future #1 Successfully arriving in 2015, Doc was surprised to meet the wounded Rumble, who proceeded to exploit Doc's kind naïveté to be healed. Doc was then confronted by Rumble's superior Megatron, who was weakened over the course of thirty years. At this point, Rumble stole the DeLorean and fled into the past, rewriting time to bring about a Decepticon victory in the Great War.
In the altered 2015, the Decepticon Gigawatt, having scanned the DeLorean, defected to Rodimus Prime's Autobots, informing that he'd learnt from the time travelling Rumble's memory banks that only Brown could repair his damaged flux capacitor. Left to his own devices, Brown constructed the Cybertronian disabling alpha-wave ionic nullifier, using it to save Lorraine and George McFly from Scrapper. Transformers/Back to the Future #2
Recruiting Marty's parents, Brown used his weapon to down Bonecrusher before he led the McFlys to a Decepticon communication relay, managing to send a signal to the Autobots thanks to Einstein distracting Long Haul, only for Biff to destroy the relay. Taken prisoner by Starscream and the remaining Constructicons, the rebels were to be executed before the Autobots and Marty arrived, Doc shouting to Marty how to use the nullifier. After the Decepticons were felled, the resistance began to celebrate before Watchtower revealed himself. Transformers/Back to the Future #3
At Rodimus' order, Marty led the humans away from the giant. Though Doc desired to fight, Marty informed him of Gigawatt's damaged flux capacitor which Brown quickly repaired. At that moment, Watchtower took aim at the two humans, being saved by Gigawatt, though at the cost of him being too damaged to reach eighty-eight miles per hour. While Rodimus fought a delaying action, Doc and Skilz physically pushed Gigawatt to the required velocity. When Rodimus had fallen, Watchtower advanced on the smaller group. Aware that they had no time to enter Gigawatt, Doc and Skilz sacrificed themselves to buy their friends the time to escape, leaving themselves at the giant's mercy.
When Marty and Gigawatt altered time to prevent the reactivation of the Decepticons, Doc was resurrected, helping the Autobots to repair the damaged Gigawatt. When Marty returned with the DeLorean, Doc reclaimed his vehicle and began converting the DeLorean to run on energon, while Gigawatt took Marty back to 1985. Transformers/Back to the Future #4
