Ask Vector Prime
In Aurex 1104.30-DB Zeta (a highly Primax-influenced universe), the Protectobots, Railbots, and Aerialbots were born from Dr. Brian Jones's attempts at reverse-engineering Maximus combiner technology and applying it to Mini-Con anatomy. However, the Decepticons stole the technology and created their own combiner team, the Constructicons. Thus, Superion, Defensor, and Rail Racer fought Devastator in the Combiner Wars during the Unicron Singularity crisis. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/31
Toys
Universe (2003)
- Hightower (Micromaster Constructicon, 2004)
- Series: II
- Number: 6 of 6
- Accessories: Left & right Devastator fists
- A redeco of Iron Lift, Hightower transforms into a crane truck. He can form the left arm to any similar-construction Micromaster combiner robot, but his nominal position is as the arm of Constructicon Devastator. (He can be used as a right arm too, but since only the right fist to the Sixbuilder mold-set will work with him, he'd be backwards.)
- Part of the second wave of KB Toys exclusive Universe MicroMasters, he and the other Micromaster Constructicons were also ultimately available from Sears during Christmastime, and Kmart's online store.
- The toy's connector socket is approximately 5 mm wide, making Hightower compatible with Powerlinx ports.
- This toy also doubles as the Beast Wars: Uprising incarnation of Hightower. This mold was also used to make Micromaster Gren.
Energon
- Hightower (Micromaster Constructicon, 2004)
- Series: II
- Number: 6 of 6
- Accessories: Left & right Devastator fists
- The Micromaster Constructicons were sold in Europe under the Energon banner, presumably since Europe never actually got Universe. Other then the packaging, the toys are identical to the Universe versions.
Notes
- It seems highly likely that Hightower's name came about due to Hasbro's inability to secure the trademark for "Hook", as other members of the team use the names of the Generation 1 Constructicons who share their alternate mode.
