Synopsis
As the council examines the deceased Computron and Menasor, Starscream laments sending the Autobot Combiner on his fatal last mission. The Mistress of Flame, meanwhile, is simply concerned that the Combiners will unravel the status quo on Cybertron.
At the base of the council tower, Optimus Prime, Windblade, and Megatron sneak their way towards the main elevator. The former Decepticon leader casually suggests killing the councillors, and Windblade is pretty open to the idea, but Prime insists they will attempt to reason with them. Even Starscream.
Up above, the councillors debate the intentions of rapidly approaching intruders, and the Mistress advocates using the Enigma of Combination to control the Combiners and threaten Prime's team into standing down. Rodimus and Starscream disagree, and the three councillors go to face down the intruders, albeit backed up by an array of gun turrets. Optimus Prime announces that his party will return into exile once they are allowed to destroy the Enigma, but the Mistress fails to believe him, and gets into a shouting match with fellow Camien Windblade. Starscream, meanwhile, fails to convince Megatron that he doesn't have some scheme running, and the former Decepticon leader fires on his old second-in-command, triggering the turrets.
Optimus Prime's team are forced to defend themselves, and Windblade hears a mysterious voice in her head implore that she not "let this happen". Above, as Rodimus Prime helps the wounded Starscream, the floor of the council chambers bursts open, revealing none other than Devastator! The Decepticon Combiner easily tears one of Rodimus's arms off, laughing all the while...

Quotes
Megatron: So, what's say we just go in, kill everyone in the council, destroy the Enigma, and call it a day?
Windblade: We could probably pull it off now with the three of us.
Optimus Prime: No. We are here to reason with them.
Megatron: Oh, I love this plan! In no way will it end in bloodshed or tears.
- —One of the few intentionally funny moments of the series.
"Starscream, what ever it is you're planning, give it up. Your ploy will fail as always."
"There is no ploy, Megatron! I've been trying to atone for my sins. Something you should try."
- —Megatron gets some advice from Starscream.
Notes
- The sound mixing in this episode is...odd. The most notable example is when the Mistress of Flame pounds her staff on the ground while arguing with Windblade. It's meant to feel powerful and aggressive, however the sound effect used is, to put it bluntly, a pathetic little "doink".
