When you feel that bog-standard energon can't get the job done, then look no further than Wheeljack's Hyper Fuel, a highly concentrated energon derivative that has enough kick to blast a starship out of a volcano.

Mind you though, it does have a bit more of a kick than most people expect.

Wheeljack created the Hyper Fuel in an attempt to get the Ark space worthy again, demonstrating its effects to Optimus Prime via his assistant drone. Though Optimus was initially impressed, the out of control drone convinced both that the Hyper Fuel needed some refinement.

When attempting to procure Wheeljack's drone for his after battle celebration, Grimlock downed a tumbler of Hyper Fuel. Its powerful effects caused his beast mode instincts to take over and he promptly downed a barrel of the stuff. Unfortunately for all involved, this sent him running around the Ark out of control as he tried to burn off the excess energy. His errant course was contained when Optimus Prime trapped him, and Windblade, with the force shield blaster, allowing the Dinobot to safely expel the energy. As Wheeljack pushed Grimlock back to his lab, he noted that the Hyper Fuel was too powerful and that he would instead use "Mega Fuel" for the Ark. The Visitor
