Fiction
The Covenant of Primus
Lazerback was one of the first three Predacons to emerge from Well of All Sparks.
During the Great Cataclysm, Lazerback, Predaking, and Twinstrike were among the few Predacons to survive the initial wave of death that killed many of their kind. In the aftermath, though, the electromagnetic radiation began interfering with their systems and mental faculties. Under Predaking's orders, the trio of Predacons migrated at nighttime to mitigate their effects, and eventually found a deep gorge that would shield them from the worst of the effects. Lazerback and Twinstrike finally succumbed to the madness, but Predaking managed to force them into stasis lock. The three Predacons were soon forgotten by the world above, who never even knew that they had once existed. The Covenant of Primus
Toys
Prime
- Lazerback (Deluxe, 2013)
- Series/number: 2/003
- Accessories: Toxic Strike Blaster, missile, tail/whip
- Part of the first wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Deluxe Class toys, Lazerback transforms into a dragon with an opening jaw. His tail detaches to become a whip that is held by his hands via 5 mm post, and his dragon back hinges over his head in robot mode to become the "Toxic Strike Blaster", a spring-loaded missile launcher which fires a single, double-pronged missile. (His packaging call-outs erroneously mention that he has two missiles.) The launcher itself is attached to a peg-hole on his back, and can be detached for use as a hand-held weapon.
- His instructions include the third chapter of the Tales of the Beast Hunters series. He was also redecoed into Vertebreak and retooled into Go! Gaidora.
Notes
- Since he existed during an era before transformation, this Lazerback never realized that he had a robot mode.
