Synopsis
Running to the endangered Lio Convoy, Lio Junior transforms into robot mode and enters the Angolmois Energy intake, despite the energetic surge. Santon and Skywarp try to give chase, but are forced back by the intense energies. Gigastorm looks over the Angolmois Energy absorption and cheers on his brother for potentially killing himself with the Angolmois Energy, a delusion which Hellscream mocks.Lio Junior walks a corridor within Nemesis, despite the streaming Angolmois Energy and runs into Galvatron, who claims to the worried Maximal that his "father" died after being hit by the Angolmois Energy. Lio Junior is incredulous, believing that Lio convoy would never die till he put an end to the Predacon menace and heads into another corridor before Galvatron stops him. The Emperor of Destruction makes another offer for Lio Junior to join him in universal conquest, but Lio Junior soundly rejects it, to Galvatron's regret.
On the planet's surface, the Maximals worry about both lions, and Diver hits upon the idea of using the surrounding rocks to seal the intake and allow the two some breathing room. But they're prevented from carrying out the plan by the Predacons still on the surface. A figure emerges from the intake, to Santon and Skywarp's hope, but it turns out to be Galvatron! The Predacon leader explains that the Angolmois Energy blew away Lio Convoy, and Lio Junior is heading to the core, an apparent Maximal loss which excites the other Predacons. Gigastorm tries his disingenuous sycophancy, but Galvatron calls him out for his lack of compassion, courage, and loyalty to his older brother. While Lio Junior and Lio Convoy were enemies, they warranted more respect than his disappointing "successor". Apache calls on the other Maximals to not believe what Galvatron said, and they try to assist, but the Predacons use their firepower to put a stop to their attempt. Santon and Skywarp try to leap into Nemesis, but Galvatron refuses to allow them to interfere with his fortress planet. In the Moon, Artemis and Moon watch the unfolding events and try the one thing they can do to help: Pray. This turns out to be effective, as Artemis comes in touch with Gaia's spirit, its life, and its lands. She glows and warns Moon that her plan will put their lives on the line; when the rabbit agrees to do so, Artemis explains that they will move the Moon between Nemesis and Gaia to stop the Angolmois Energy flow!
In Nemesis, Lio Junior struggles to continue his search for his father and finally collapses in exhaustion...On the surface, Galvatron calls on the Maximals to surrender in the face of insurmountable odds, but is surprised when the flow of Angolmois Energy stops! He looks up to the sky and sees that the Moon has blocked it, which the Maximals credit to the "Goddess of Gaia". Inside the satellite, Artemis and Moon reckon with the intense heat caused by the Angolmois Energy, and the gynoid thanks her companion for being there with her. Galvatron is baffled by this series of events and infuriated at just how close he is to universal conquest...
With the Angolmois Energy gone, Lio Convoy wakes up Lio Junior through their Energon Matrix and the lesser lion stumbles into a chamber where he finds the core with Lio Convoy trapped within. The greater lion explains that he is being protected by a shield made by the Energon Matrix, but that the Angolmois Energy surrounding him will burn him out if the shield is broken. Lio Convoy asks Lio Junior to go back and assist the other Maximals in defeating Galvatron, but Lio Junior refuses and uses his portion of the Energon Matrix to enter the core to rescue his father. With nobody coming up to the surface from the interior, Galvatron boasts that both lions are done with, but this turns out to be premature as a magnificent emerald-hued lion emerges from the pit in a burst of energy. The Matrices of Lio Junior and Lio Convoy have united as one, and the Legendary Green Lion has been born as was foretold! Galvatron calls on Gigastorm to prove his loyalty by attacking the strange lion, and the younger brother obliges. His attacks leave no scratch and the Green Lion responds with a Matrix Typhoon attack that soundly takes out Gigastorm! Galvatron stares down the lion as the true final battle begins...

Notes
Animation and technical errors
- For some inexplicable reason, Moon uses an entirely different character model throughout the episode; featuring more mechanical legs and extra detail on his ears and back. On closer inspection; it appears to be the same or similar to the one used for his robot mode's transformation sequence.
