The Maximal Imperium first existed as far back as the Great War between the Maximals and Predacons, which officially ended with the signing of the Pax Cybertronia by the leaders of the Imperium and the Predacon Alliance. Concerned about rising strife threatening to drag the Maximal Imperium into a new civil war, the Maximal Elders sent their aide, Ikard, to find Big Convoy and bring him in for questioning. Big Convoy, however, refused to come, citing the importance of getting some control in the field. The Maximal Imperium existed back during the era before the drafting of the Pax Cybertronia. Though the Great War between the Maximals and Predacons had ended, many Predacon insurgents disagreed with the peace treaty and wished to see the Maximal Imperium destroyed. Notes
- While the Maximal Imperium did not officially exist as a concept until 2006, it is oddly interesting that the Imperial Peace Marshals, who served the Maximal government in the BotCon 2001 fiction by 3H Productions, specifically used the word "Imperial" as part of their full name, as if to suggest that the Maximal nation-state on Cybertron in that fiction was also an imperium (or an empire).
