Synopsis
Hoist, Whirl and Medix show Cody the latest piece of Earth ephemera they've found, which Cody explains is a disguise. When Medix likens it to their using vehicle forms as disguises, Cody says it would be all right to reveal their Bot forms if it was necessary to save lives. The other items they've found are a rubber duck and a soccer ball, and when Cody switches the TV to a soccer match, Hot Shot is instantly hooked. As they head to Hero Hall so they can try playing, Medix is distracted by a commercial for Moe's Sporting Goods which incorporates a fake monster. Medix believes it's a real monster, despite Cody's reassurances that it's just a giant toy.
Grimlock is trying to do Heatwave's administrative work when Medix arrives to report a monster attack in Milford. Grimlock checks the monitors but doesn't see anything, and suggests Medix keep an eye on it. Hot Shot meanwhile is effortlessly dusting the floor with the other recruits in their soccer game, and they call Medix, who tries to persuade them to help him save Moe. When this fails, he heads out himself.
The other recruits can't find Medix, so they check with Grimlock. They work out the missing recruit is in Milford. Stuck in traffic, Medix recalls Cody's earlier advice about when to break disguise, and transforms to bot mode to stop the beast from the commercial. He quickly discovers it's just an inflatable prop and realizes he's surrounded by startled humans. As Grimlock and the recruits prepare to go help, Cody finds there's a news crew almost on scene as well. Medix is trying to explain things to the onlookers, when the other recruits arrive and put on a stunt show as a distraction, allowing Medix to duck into a side alley.
Back at base, everyone hopes their secret is still safe, but the news crew at Moe's is reporting on Medix's appearance and things are looking grim. Cody comes up with a plan and has Medix and Grimlock return to Moe's Sporting Goods, so they can act out a commercial spot, successfully making everyone think it's just an advertising stunt. They once again return to base, where Medix relaxes in front of the TV again, dismissing everything as fake until there's a commercial featuring an alien.
