When Nautica left Caminus, she brought her wrench with her, using it to try and look threatening to the Lost Lighters who'd made their way into Metroplex. The Dead Are Not Enough
When Nautica later signed onto the Lost Light, Towards Peace Brainstorm tinkered with the wrench and added "a billion extras" including a light that went off should she be exaggerating. slaughterhouse
When the Lost Light vanished, the crew took the shuttles. As tensions mounted in the Rodpod, Hound menacingly advanced on Nautica, the Camien brandished her wrench (as a weapon that is, not a wrench), only for it to transpire that Hound was menacing Ravage. When the Rodpod found a duplicate, but bisected, Lost Light, Twenty Plus One they boarded to investigate, Nautica's wrench picking up that the local region of space had been "worn down" by warp jumps and subspace incursions while also serving to remotely reactivate the lifts and other systems. slaughterhouse
After Brainstorm tried to use time travel to prevent the Great War from occurring, he patched things up with the disappointed Nautica by adding a new button to the wrench that caused it to say "BRAINSTORM IS AN ASS!" Our Steps Will Always Rhyme
Shortly before Thunderclash's pre-wake, Brainstorm added a light that cancelled out attention deflectors, a feature Getaway hoped would be useful in revealing a lurking Ravage. When a party was held aboard the Vis Vitalis, Nightbeat borrowed the wrench as he went to look for trouble. When he and Getaway entered the ship's morgue, the wrench's light revealed an infestation of personality ticks. The Sensuous Frame
As part of Getaway's master plan to get rid of Megatron, he tricked Tailgate into breaking into the ex-tyrant's room whereupon the hapless Mini-Bot would be killed. To that end, he gifted the wrench to his pawn, intentionally disabling the anti-attention deflector light. As such, though the wrench opened the door to the hab suite, it did nothing to reveal the lurking Ravage. Though Getaway had planned for this, he failed to account for Cyclonus heroically coming to the rescue. The Lopsided Triangle
When the Lost Light was about to finish its "victory lap," the science team proposed recreating the initial launch accident, Nautica holding onto her wrench as they explained the details of it to Rodimus. How To Say Goodbye And Mean It: Part 2
