My gal is Red Hot!
Your gal ain't doodly-squat!

Red Hot (aka Red Heat) is in it for the thrills. A confirmed action junkie, he's happiest where the action is hottest, be it fighting a towering inferno or mixing it up with Decepticons. Thankfully, he's not so far gone into thrillseeking that he'll neglect his duty as part of the Rescue Patrol. As soon as lives are in danger, Red Hot's first and only priority is to roll out and save the day. This drive does have its disadvantages though, since he's prone to exhausting his fuel supply and pushing his frame harder than it can take.[1]

From my perspective, Rung, wars are for the fighting. Show me a potential flashpoint and I'm there, in the thick of it. The hotter the better.

Guess who's super-huge for no reason?

After a successful raid on a Decepticon fuel depot on Cybertron, Red Hot and the Rescue Patrol attempted to journey to Earth with Bumblebee, Jazz, and Grimlock, but the intervention of the Mayhem Attack Squad resulted in the trans-time dimensional portal malfunctioning. The Autobots were flung into the depths of Cybertron, where they found the resting place of their god, Primus! Yesterday's Heroes! Red Hot and the others listened to the Keeper's tale of Primus and Unicron, and the origins of the Transformer race—until the Keeper was slain by the Decepticons, who had also been transported there by the malfunctioning portal. Red Hot and Stakeout assisted Grimlock in taking down Octopunch, but were unable to prevent him from accidentally shooting Primus in the face. As the awakened Primus let loose with a Unicron-summoning "primal scream", the Autobase staff completed repairs on the dimensional portal, sending the Autobots to Earth. The Primal Scream

On Earth Red Hot and the rest of the Rescue Patrol were assigned to capture Decepticon assassin Whisper, and on Christmas Day 1989, they cornered him. Their battle against the Air Strike Patrol was called off by Optimus Prime to prevent damage to the environment. The Greatest Gift of All!

Wanna bet he's keen on Hot House's position?
  • Rescue Patrol (Micromaster Patrol, 1989)
Released in the sixth year of the The Transformers toyline (fifth year in the European line), Red Hot transforms into a vaguely-futuristicy red fire engine of undetermined, possibly-made-up model. His ladder/sprayer is on a rotating base, and the boom is jointed to fold back in half.
He was only available in the Rescue Patrol four-pack, released in the second wave of Micromaster Patrols, with his teammates Fixit, Seawatch, and Stakeout. Red Hot is gang-molded with Fixit, sharing plastic colors.
This toy was sold in Japan without changes as Fire and "Fire Engine".

"Because you had to retool Big. Shot. Didn't. You."
  • Stakeout & Red Heat (Micromaster 2-pack, 2019)
  • Hasbro ID number: WFC-S19
  • TakaraTomy ID number: SG-21
  • TakaraTomy release date: May 31, 2019
Part of the second wave of Siege Micromasters, Red Heat (likely renamed for trademark reasons) is a retool of Topshot that transforms from robot to fire truck. He can also combine with his pack-in teammate Stakeout to form the "Binerboost Salvage Blaster," a blaster-weapon for larger figures to wield. As a part of the C.O.M.B.A.T. System, their weapon mode can be attached to any toy with a 5 mm post-hole. "Fire Blasts" can also be attached to their barrels.
This mold was used to make Siege Wheel Blaze, HasLab Fire, and retooled to make Fireline. This figure was also repurposed as Fire in the Legends comic.
