Rot Gut (Prime)

From Transformers Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search
The name or term "Rot Gut" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Rot Gut (disambiguation).
Rot Gut is a Predacon from the Prime portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Rot Gut may be slow, but he's a real terror when he's in his beast mode. In his robot mode, he's just as deadly, and pounds his enemies into scrap left and right with his Affliction Hammer.

Toys

Prime

  • Rot Gut (Legion Class, 2013)
  • Series / Number: 3 / 012
  • Accessories: "Affliction Hammer"
  • Known designers: Joe Kyde (Hasbro)
Part of the fifth wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Series 3 Cyberverse Legion Class toys, Rot Gut is a redeco of Blight, transforming into a chunky bipedal dragon-like thing. His robot mode hands can hold the included "Affliction Hammer" via the latter's multiple 3mm posts, and he and the weapon feature numerous 3mm mounting points. Rot Gut can also transform into a leg mode for the Cyberverse Hun-Gurrr mold to use in its combiner mode.
Due to being released after the Christmas season and just before the launching of the Age of Extinction toy line, Rot Gut and the other figures of his wave were passed on by US retailers and ultimately only available in Europe and Australia, in European packaging in both instances (an unusual occurrence for Australia).
This mold was also redecoed into Go! Burara. His hammer accessory was also used, in varying colors, by Twinstrike and Prowl.

Notes

  • In the exact opposite situation to his wavemate Divebomb, despite being a Predacon, his instructions are printed with the Autobot template. Unlike Divebomb, however, his early stock photography (shown on the back of the packaging) still depicts him with the correct faction symbol.
