A creation of Doctor Fujiyama, Shadow (シャドウ Shadō) is a chatty AI contained within a storage box usually attached to the thigh of his "big sister", Nightbird. Like his sibling, Shadow is skilled in ninjutsu and has his own unique functions, such as a cerebro-shell program.

Circa 2010, Shadow, having remained hidden thanks to invisibility ninjutsu, broke out Nightbird from stasis and led her to upgrade her body using their creator's lab. Nightbird Shadow bio He soon encouraged her to steal away three of their siblings—inactivated Trainbots. However, they were caught by the nine other Trainbots, six of whom combined into G Liner. Using Shadow's cerebro-shell program, Nightbird was able to take control of the combiner, but the evil duo's efforts were foiled by the three remaining Trainbots. Shadow accompanied Nightbird when she first joined and then left the Decepticons following changes in leadership, and when she later ventured into the land of the Six Clan seeking to improve her ninjutsu. Notes

• Shadow speaks Japanese in a very strange diction, notably using asshi (アッシ), an archaic personal pronoun with "working man" implications, and frequently using the humble anego (姉御, "elder sister") to refer to Nightbird.
