Slag King is a Laser Beast from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Unfortunately, his regency is not recognized in the United Kingdom.

Commander of the Laser Beast Ground Battalion, Slag King (スラッグキング Suraggukingu) is one of their most terrifying warriors. He sees himself as the greatest among Tigerburn's warriors, a claim not to be taken lightly. He possesses formidable mystical and physical abilities, and has an impressive regeneration factor that quickly heals most battle damage.

His gruesome appearance strikes fear into the hearts of his opponents, while his ruthless command style and demands of strict obedience strike fear into the hearts of his subordinates. Worse still, his horrific Bone Hunt Laser (ボーンハントレーザー Bōn Hanto Rēzā) MVP Weapon can melt the flesh of his opponents, leaving only bone. And as the pilot of the Battle Savanna superweapon, he's got even more ways to spread chaos and pain.

Slag King is also a member of the Subterranean Demon Clan, an elite group of Laser Beasts dedicated to protecting the Great Emperor, even at the cost of their own lives. He follows his Emperor's orders to the letter, without question.

Slag King resided in the Laser Beasts' underground city while their society grew more and more cold-hearted. Legend of the Three Wise Ones He participated in the invasion of the surface and the war with the Beastformers who lived there, at one point losing a battle when the enemy unveiled their Hunters. Legends comic

Slag King was among the Laser Beasts who emerged from the underground and began warring with the Beastformers. LG51 Doublecross Prologue Slag King participated in the final battle between Beastformers and Laser Beasts on Beast in 2023. He watched as a portal opened to reveal 2021-based Transformers and their allies fleeing the end of the Legends World. The Road to Legends' Revival Chapter 1

In 2038, the then-peaceful Beast was invaded by Galvatron II's Decepticons. Slag King was part of the joint Beastformer-Laser Beast alliance that fought against the invaders, and he attempted to attack Nemesis with other aerial warriors. The Road to Legends' Revival Chapter 3

Released in the post-Transformers-branding Beastformers toyline, Slag King is an anthropomorphic Pteranodon in high-tech green armor. He comes with his "Bone Hunt Laser", which can only be held in his right hand as his left is molded in an open-talon clawing pose. Instead of a rubsign, he has a transparent orb in his torso, revealing the elemental power of Fire, Water, or Wood when you look through it into a light source.

Slag King was only available with the Battle Savanna Battlecruiser, a chariot that can be ridden by any Laser Beast or Beastformer toy. Neither item was sold in the Hasbro Battle Beasts line, and being late entries in Beastformers, they command pretty high prices on the secondary market.

Notes

• It is unknown what Slag King's Hasbro Battle Beasts name would have been. He was slated to be released in one of twelve "motorized vehicle" (aka Battlecruiser) sets. The Pre-Toy Fair 1988 catalogue shows him on the red-and-yellow "rhino"-type vehicle (the mold he did come with in Beastformers), but it's entirely possible he would have come with a different one; this assortment never made it to packaging sample stage.
