You're fired!

Trov hails from an unidentified foreign country, whose government took severe umbrage to the Autobots' decision to formally ally exclusively with the government of the United States. In an effort to sabotage this partnership and take control of the interstellar teleport system the two were building together, the country's upper echelons entered into a secret alliance with Megatron and the Decepticons. As part of this evil scheme, Trov was installed as a member of the four-man crew working on the construction of this system, a space station known as the Trigger.

When the Decepticons launched their attack on the Trigger, Trov was in the middle of teasing his fellow astronaut Makoto by joking that the Autobots were monsters from space. The Decepticons' attack took the lives of the other two crew members, and when a confused Makoto turned to Trov, he discovered that the traitor was pointing a pistol in his face. Trov revealed his country's alliance with the Decepticons, and an enraged Makoto attacked him, knocking the gun from his hand. Trov fought back and knocked Makoto out by punching him into a bulkhead, after which he donned a spacesuit and went to welcome Megatron and the Decepticons aboard the Trigger. As Trov pontificated about how his country would now rule the Earth with Megatron's aid, the Decepticon leader revealed that he had no intention of sharing power with the lowly human. Trov was promptly atomised with a single blast of Megatron's fusion cannon. First Contact

Notes

  • It's not explicitly stated which country Trov hails from, but given his name, his anti-American stance, and the fact that it still exists in Generation 1 cartoon continuity, we're gonna lay good money on the Soviet Union.
