Do you still do music?[edit]
I'm a big fan of your music!!!! I was wondering if you have any other musical endeavors outside of apolloish and cassette fighter, and if so where could I find them. Thanks!!!!!!!
And I laugh at their jokes, but I never get the punchlines.
- hi! what a flattering message! the apolloish and cassette fighter stuff was made when i was in high school, and while i do still make music, it's quite a departure from the sort of experimental/folk pop thing i was trying to do at that point. (also i have grown incredibly diffident and no longer sing.) unfortunately, the more time i spend making music, the higher standards i hold myself to, so i also haven't really released an "album" or anything since that time. you can find a few sketches of the sort of thing i make now on my soundcloud but i wouldn't call any of it "Good" or "Finished". if you want some other tuneful pop noise from other TMBG fans i'd recommend checking out sometimes the cat and OK glass. Nicky (my cassette fighter partner in crime) also still makes wonderful music far more consistently than i do, and we have actually been talking about maybe making something together again. so stay tuned i guess! (tuned into what, i don't know) apollo 13:31, 29 July 2019 (EDT)
Jimmy Mack[edit]
Hi, you wrote on James McIntyre's page that he had a successful career in music, where can I see/hear this? TitanicFog (talk) 20:51, 5 October 2024 (EDT)
- Hi TitanicFog, i think all the info i had about McIntyre at the time came from the Flood book by Reed and Sandifer. i may have worded that section in a slightly misleading way though—i don't think McIntyre had a career as a musician, instead he was a radio DJ for WBCN and wrote music reviews for The Phoenix, an alternative newspaper in Boston. you can find a lot of his work on the Phoenix archive hosted on archive.org. i'll update his article as well to make this more clear. thanks for bringing this to my attention. apollo 12:25, 6 November 2024 (EST)
- No worries! Thank you for adding the info! TitanicFog (talk) 13:35, 6 November 2024 (EST)
- woops, i haven't been around for a while so i didn't realize you had already updated the Mundanes page with some of the Phoenix articles. sorry for telling you stuff you already knew! thanks for your work fleshing out that article & others though. apollo 15:25, 7 November 2024 (EST)
