Pioneer Cemetery with headstones

Lewis Pioneer Cemetery

Lewis Pioneer Cemetery - It's worth the 1.5km walk along a beautiful trail through a farmers field to find this historical gem at the end!

Park your vehicle at the end of Park Street (by the Bruce Botanical Food Gardens, Ripley lagoon, and soccer fields) in Ripley to discover a winding pathway of crushed stone dust with two rest stops along the route. Detailed storyboards are available throughout the trail to enhance the walking experience, ending in a Pioneer Cemetery.

Erie Belle Boiler and lawn chair in front of lake

Erie Belle Boiler

Erie Belle Boiler - all that remains of the wreck of the Erie Belle, a Great Lakes steamship that exploded in 1883, lies off the shore of our pristine Lake Huron coastline. Located near the foot of the 12th concession and Boiler Beach road, it makes for a cool photo opportunity. *Please do not climb it and use extra caution around the boiler.

A tall white lighthouse on a sunny day

A National Historic Site

Point Clark Lighthouse - one of Huron-Kinloss' most photographed sites, the Point Clark Lighthouse is a National Historic Site, built in 1859. An amazing photo opp any time of year, it is open for paid, guided tours daily in July and August. Climb 114 steps to epic views of our beautiful shoreline and visit the adjacent Lighthouse Keepers' cottage, a new renovated museum. Tickets are available at: https://secretsofthebackforty.com/point-clark-lighthouse/ or stop in!
