Russian writer and publisher of St. Petersburg. He helped to organize the 1992 writers' cruise on the Russian ship Konstantin Simonov. This was arranged by the Writers' Union of St. Petersburg and the Swedish Writers' Union; 300 writers and translators were invited from around the Baltic Sea and convened for three weeks.
