Tim Phillips' distinctive music has accompanied many screen productions including Bad Sisters on Apple TV, Becoming Elizabeth and Shining Vale on Starz, the BBC film adaptation of Roald Dahl's Esio Trot, and the hit Channel 4 series Shameless and Ackley Bridge. Theatrical productions he has scored have toured all over the world to great acclaim.
His musical The Grinning Man opened in London's West End in Dec 2017 and has become an instant hit across the board - with a wealth of critics, bloggers and audiences raving about it. Tim co-wrote the music and lyrics in collaboration with Marc Teitler.
Tim also co-founded Filter Theatre in 2003 with actors Ferdy Roberts and Oliver Dimsdale, and it is now one of the UK's foremost and critically acclaimed theatre companies. Filter has produced work for the most prestigious venues in the UK including The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Royal National Theatre, and London's Lyric Hammersmith and their shows have toured to five continents.
In 2015 he established Electric Teepee Productions, based in his Los Angeles studio. He continues to work in both London and LA on a variety of projects for film, television and theatre.
