Faraway (2023) is a German movie that was directed by Vanessa Jopp. It stars Naomi Krauss Zeynep, a 40-something Croatian-Turkish woman who runs a restaurant in Munich. She realizes that her entire family--husband, father, daughter--take her for granted.

Zynep's mother has just died, and has left her a little house on a Croatian island. Zeynep leaves Germany and travels to the island. When she arrives, she discovers a Croatian man Josip (Goran Bogdan) living in her house. To no one's surprise--at least not to my surprise--there is a chemistry between them.

Faraway has an anemic IMDb rating of 6.7. I thought that it was much better than that, and rated it 8.
