Well I would have written my extensive but another good critic has done that, however I will agree with the rest of the people on here "The D.A." was a great hit. Well written, well acted and directed, this crime drama was pretty special blending in comedy, drama and the suspense traits that all good crime dramas like "Law And Order" and others have.
Steven Weber as District Attorney David Franks is just absolutely great, he is a great underrated actor. He's a funny comedian but he can act too ("Single White Female", "The Shining"), a well rounded actor.
Bruno Campos as Deputy District Attorney Mark Camacho as the Latino second in command to Franks is great too, its great to finally see a strong and respectable Latino lead actor in a series, so way to go ABC in that department.
Some other stuff that made this series great was Franks rivalry between another attorney and the fact I believe near the end he was trying to run for governor while trying to solve a very high profiled racial case with an Iraqi character.
I was really impressed with the series, if ABC was smart theyd bring "The D.A." back but I wont hold my breath.
