Most of the film was shot in a set on an industrial estate near Antwerp, Belgium. This set, a replica of medieval Antwerp, was not purpose built for this movie. It had been build over the course of four months, by a local businessman to celebrate the 160 anniversary of his company.

Great movie!

I wish there were more movies like this about the Protestant Reformation! Great storyline, good for the whole family. I also like the fact that the protagonists are kids (good acting, by the way). I really enjoyed watching this movie, would definitely watch it again! Highly recommend it.
