Does the scaffold have a scafftag signed, displayed, in date? Is the access to the scaffold safe, i.e.secured at top; free from defect; extend 5 rungs past step off point; unobstructed access to platform? Is the scaffold secured and stable i.e. to building or adequately braced? Is the scaffold plumb, square, level and built on level ground using base plates? Are all working areas protected by a suitable means of edge protection, free from visible defect? Is adequate, safe access provided to all working areas i.e. boarded walkways on scaffold; access over potential hazards? Does the scaffolding have adequate toprail - i.e. approx 1m in height and is it free from visible defect? Does the scaffolding have adequate midrail i.e approx 50cm in height and is it free from visible defect? Does the scaffolding have adequate toeboards and are they free from visible defect?
