Mid Internship Review

The object of my internship is to understand the methods and benefits of Cross Selling at Punjab National Bank. Cross selling is a marketing device used to increase sales by displaying products to the customers that are closely related to the product he or she is interested in purchasing. It allows the business to promote similar products that the customer may be aware of, or offer a complimentary product that the customer may be interested in. Work done till date 1st week- 27th may-2nd June In first week I learnt about the working of the marketing department at the PNB circle office, also identified the area of project work (Cross Selling). Had an idea of the products offered for cross selling. Mutual funds, credit cards, life insurance, health insurance are certain products that are offered to existing account holders. 2nd week- 3rd-9th June Learned about target tracking and I was given the work of calling the managers of all the branches and remind them of their targets and ask them to send weekly progress reports regarding progress in the third party products. Third party products are: 1. Pnb metflexi shield 2. Pnb royal mediclaim 3. UTI Mutual funds and PNB principal Mutual funds. 3rd week-10th-16th June I was given the job of taking customer feedback regarding the products they had availed and to notify them of the other products such as insurance policies (Life or health insurance). A database of customers is maintained and shared through their Core Banking Solution (CBS). I was asked to provide them details of currently placed managers at the respective branches where the customer has an account so that they can contact them in case of grievances or when they need to seek some kind of information. I was given the work of reminding a list of employees for their training to be held on June 10th and June 11th. Vaishali Advani (9502937)
