Kindly refer letter of DDG (International Relation), Dak Bhavan, New Delhi-110 001. Ref No D.O. No.51/Compensation/2003DAA dated 23.06.2004. Any Postal Administration of destination has to respond to the enquiries in this regard within two months from the date of issue of enquiry, failing which compensation is to be paid to the Administration of origin. Due to late response or no response at all from the Circles to the concerned Office of Exchange, India Post has to make unnecessary payments on account of compensation due even if the article has been delivered in time.
KINDLY ARRANGE TO CONTACT THE ADDRESSEE THROUGH PRI (P) AND OBTAIN WRITTEN STATEMENT OF RECEIPT OR NON RECEIPT OF RL THROUGH ANY SOURCE. THIS DECLARATION SHOULD REACH THIS OFFICE WITHIN 15 DAYS POSITIVELY.
