Al-Ghazi Constructors Civil & Piling Works supervised pile load tests from July 25-28, 2013 for a new shopping mall being built in Karachi, Pakistan. A load test was performed on a working pile that was 20 meters long and 22 inches in diameter. The maximum settlement during loading was 5.40 mm, with 0.77 mm of rebound after unloading, resulting in a net settlement of 4.63 mm.

Introduction
Al-Ghazi Construction Civil & Pilling Works was awarded to supervise the Pile Load Tests at Defence Shopping Mall, Plot # 198, Karachi. Load Test on Working Pile was initiated on 25th July 2013 at 20:00 Pm and was continued till 28th July 2013; 19:00 Pm. The length of the pile was 20 meter having a diameter of 22. The methodology of Pile Load Test, as per the instructions of the Structural Consultant is mentioned in the report.

Results: Maximum Settlement on Loading: Rebounced value after complete Un-Loading: Net Settlement: 5.40 mm 0.77 mm 4.63 mm
