GFN Random

This document contains the results of a fatigue analysis of a steel basket subjected to vibration. It includes stress and cycle count data for different excitation frequencies and directions, as well as the calculated damage in each direction. The cumulative damage is found to be infinite, indicating the design will fail due to fatigue after a certain period of operation. Random response stresses and maximum principal stresses are also presented, with notes on how to modify the analysis by changing fatigue curve parameters or input stresses.

Random Response
1. Input the frequencies in B3,C3,D3,E3,F3 ( values shown are only representative)
Choose only those frequencies which are showing significant response
2. Input the rms maximum normal stresses in B13, C13 and D13 for respective exitation direction
Choose an element which gives maximum value for Principal stress.
3. The SN curve specified in sheet SN_curve is for AISI1008 material
To use a different SN curve input a cossesponding SN data in B6:C7
Alternatively N at the max principal stress can be read from the SN curve and input in sheet:Damage D15:17 and similar fields
