Visitor's Visa

Visitors to Taiwan can apply for either a visitor's visa or resident visa depending on the length of their stay. A visitor's visa allows stays between 7-12 days and can be extended up to 90 days. A resident visa is required for stays longer than 90 days. To apply for either visa, documentation proving the reason for visiting Taiwan is needed along with a valid passport and application form from the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. Extending a stay requires documentation from the supervisory government authority, passport and application fee.
