PSOC Model II - Set2

The document appears to be a model examination for a power system operation and control course. It contains 15 questions testing various concepts: 1) It asks students to define hot reserve and cold reserve, explain the need for frequency regulation, control areas, tie line bias control, and stability compensation of AVR loops. 2) Longer questions ask students to explain load curves and their importance, load forecasting and economic dispatch, unit commitment problems, and incremental cost curves. 3) The final questions require explanations of automatic load frequency control, governor speed mechanisms, AVR loops, reactive power generation/absorption, and SCADA hardware/functions or power system operating states and security.
