Grade Homework Guide
Reading Log: Read at least 30 minutes each night. Log your reading time on the chart below
and have an adult initial each day.
Spelling Choice Board: Choose 4 activities to complete during the week to practice your
spelling words. Complete the activities in your Take Home Folder and check off each one as
you complete it. The Spelling List in your Take Home Folder .





Math: Attached Math sheet.
Writing: Use the Writing Process throughout the week to complete your story.
Monday Powerwrite Powerwrite/Brainstorm ideas for your story in you homework
journal.
Tuesday Rough Draft On the back of your powerwrite page, use your ideas to create
a rough draft.
Wednesday Revise & Edit Make changes to your rough draft to make your story better.
Check for punctuation and spelling mistakes.
Thursday Publish / Final
Copy
Write your final copy on a clean sheet of notebook paper (in
your red Take Home Folder).
Friday Turn in and
Share
Be prepared to read your story aloud to the class or to a
friend.
