I am a hardworking and motivated individual who enjoys socialising with peers and learning new
things. My ability to learn quickly means that I hope to adapt to any new challenges very quickly with
great enthusiasm. Coming straight out of school and college I have shown great punctuality and
organisation skills.
Employment History
Towers Watson
This specific job was in a pension administration organisation over the summer in a temporary role. I
worked on specific projects over this period of time, that including cleansing and updating the system
and also working on specific calculations on their database, this included working out tax on the
pensions and also any outstanding payments that needed to be made. I also helped on another
pension team within the organisation covering whilst they looked for a new member of staff, this
involved the administration tasks that all team members are involved in such as changing customers
details on the system and reading and responding to emails, letters and faxes. This role helped me to
improve my teamwork and gain many new skills using a number of databases; it has also given me
confidence in working with customers and people on a higher level within the organisation.
Goals Soccer Centre
During my second year at university I was working at Goals during the term time when living in
Southampton, it is a 5-a-side football company, my position was mainly behind the bar working game
nights during the week and many different functions on weekends. My main responsibility was dealing
with customers face to face, looking after the bar, dealing with problems behind the bar and in the
surrounding areas. I was also involved in helping out when there are childrens parties; this has
enabled me to develop my people skills even more and also how to deal with situations that involve
young children.
Legal and General (Hyphen)
This job was a temporary job in a pensions company over the summer in a temporary role. This job
included dealing with filing and inserting this information onto the systems, updating their system
when needed e.g. updating pensioners information or notify if there were any changes in
circumstances. My main responsibility was dealing with HMRC and correcting the information on there
and sending it off to HMRC. This has gained me experience in an office environment mainly within the
admin section and also dealing with other companies.
Dash Finishers
This job involves me working at my Dads printers company on a casual basis, in the busy periods.
This involves helping on the machines, putting products together and getting the products ready to be
delivered to the customers. I still do casual work here when I am home from university over the
holidays.
Surrey Downs Golf Club, Kingswood
Waitress
This job includes silver service waitressing and dealing face to face with customers at all times. This
position has allowed me to gain confidence and improve my customer service skills. I now have a
very positive attitude when dealing with the public.
Precious Moments Beauty Salon, Nork
Receptionist
2009 2012
The role included taking bookings, organising time slots for appointments and dealing with customers
on a regular basis over the phone and face to face. This was originally a Christmas temp role for 2009
but they still ring me to cover the managers holidays and days off.
Perfume Shop, Sutton
Christmas Temp Sales Assistant
December 2010
This job role included meeting targets, excellent customer services, replenishing stock in a very busy
period. I enjoyed this because it allowed me to work within a team. I also gained considerable
experience in dealing with the public on a consistent basis.
Avon Representative
2007-2009
This includes picking up and delivering catalogues and delivering orders to my customers. This has
given me excellent communication skills and has made me a lot more confident talking to the general
public. I had to be very self-motivated as I had to achieve certain targets to earn my commission.
Work Experience
Woodmansterne Primary School, Woodmansterne
2009
In year 10 I did work experience at Woodmansterne Primary School for two weeks. I worked in one of
the reception classes and this gave me good teaching skills and confidence. During the two weeks I
had to help the children in their lessons and would have to collect them from lunch and play time by
organising them into a line. As they were a challenging class I had to be very strict and assertive
which gave me good communication and leadership skills. I got very positive feedback from the
teachers.
