Welcome to IGTC2015

The Executive Committee has scheduled the eleventh

International Gas Turbine Congress (IGTC) in the autumn of
2015. The last IGTC was successfully held in 2011 in Osaka
with about 480 participants and 190 presentations. IGTC2015
will be held in a brand new facility, Toranomon Hills, located in
the central part of Tokyo.
Papers related to any aspects of gas turbine, aero-engine,
turbomachinery and energy conversion system are invited from
all over the world. Keynote Speeches, Forum Sessions and
Panel Discussions will be arranged in addition to the Paper
Sessions.
After the Great East Japan Earthquake, there have been intense
discussions in Japan concerning energy supply strategy. The
new basic energy plan was decided by cabinet in April, 2014.
We expect to have discussion on the reliable energy system and
role of gas turbine in the future energy network with the
participants from all over the world.
An exhibition related to gas turbines, energy systems,
turbochargers, accessories, parts, materials, instrumentation,
software, etc. will be held at the congress site. Technical tours,
welcome reception, and banquet will also be planned.
The Executive Committee cordially invites you to join the
IGTC2015 for up-to-date information exchange and net-working.

Message from GTSJ President

Yasuo Fujitani
President of Gas Turbine Society of Japan
On behalf of the Gas Turbine Society of Japan
(GTSJ), I am very pleased to announce that
the International Gas Turbine Congress 2015
Tokyo (IGTC2015 Tokyo) will be held from the
15th to the 20th of November, 2015, with the support of
collaborating societies around the world. This is the 11th
international congress organized by GTSJ, with the last
congress taken place in 2011 in Osaka with great success.
Gas turbines with the characteristics of high efficiency, high
reliability and low NOx emissions are expected to serve as one
of the best technologies for CO2 reduction which leads to the
inhibition of global warming. Also gas turbines show more
promise with recent shale-gas development for introduction to
various applications. IGTC2015 is designed to transmit the
latest information in Asia about fundamental technologies,
product developments and application systems of gas turbines
in various energy systems toward the rest of the world and to
help all participants share the information.
It is my great pleasure that the IGTC2015 will lead to stronger
ties between gas turbine society in Asia and their counterparts in
the US and Europe, and we look forward to your participation.
