Measure the individual winding resistance

Measure the insulation resistance (with 500V


insulation tester) of each winding.
All the readings shall be > 5Mohms. If the IR
value is low switch on the space heater or by
external heating

Ensure all logics and protections are in


service
Remove permit and DO NOT
OPERATE board from the feeder.

Put LOCAL/OFF/REMOTE selector


switch in LOCAL or REMOTE position.
As per operation requirement
Rack in the breaker/ Feeder

Switch ON control power MCB

Ensure OFF indication on feeder is


glowing
Give Clearance for Switch ON the
feeder from DCS/LCS and verify the
DOR.
Check the current of the equipment
Check the vibration, noise or any other
abnormality
Check the heating/temperature of the
motor and record in enclosed test sheet

Check / Confirm the spring tension and


condition of brushes.
